To Catch A Dinner

We have had a few opportunities in years past to do some fishing on our annual camping sojourns. Prior to those trips we have talked about catching our dinner. While that is a nice goal to have it has yet to come to fruition. Until this year.

Located on Cooke Pond, Horseshoe Island is suitable for those who enjoy the peacefulness of camping.  The landscape and scenery from the water or the island is breathtaking.  There are plenty of spots to view sunrise/sunsets, or stare aimlessly at the stars in the night sky.

Our annual outing this year brought us to the Cook Dam Pond, near Oscoda, Michigan. Our Michigan contingent had heard about this island campsite that was supposed to be pretty cool. That doesn't even begin to do the place justice! As you'll see, . . .
